Many prefilled syringes are designed for a luer-lock or luer-slip presentation and require the addition of a needle for injection. Our UltraSafe Passive® delivery system with a luer-lock or luer-slip option allows greater flexibility and alternate needle choice. Needle choice can be important for products used in adults and children, as well as intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
This device is specifically designed to offer the latest in UltraSafe Passive delivery system technology, and accommodate syringes requiring a separate needle attachment. When packaged with a syringe, the tip of the syringe is covered by a protective tip cap, which is removed just before attaching the needle for the administration of the injection.
